1. Who is eligible to receive emergency funding from STC?
   1. Any ECU student in good academic standing that completes an application for consideration or is nominated by an ECU faculty or staff member.
2. What kind of emergency will STC help a student cover?
   1. A wide range of emergency needs come up during the academic year for students that may present a challenge to their academic success. Emergency situations or extenuating circumstances like a house/apartment fire, significant medical emergency, or accident are just a few of the unplanned obstacles that have received STC emergency funding. 
3. How much will a student receive?
   1. Most STC awards are $500 or below.
4. Do students have to pay back emergency funds they receive?
   1. No, awards do not have to be paid back but must be reviewed by the Office of Financial Aid before being given.
5. Is my gift in support of the Students' Treasure Chest tax-deductible?
   1. Your gift is tax-deductible to the extent that the law allows. Please consult with your tax advisor.
